STILL HERE BASKETBALL HELPS YOUNG BALLPLAYERS BENEFIT FROM THE LARRY NANCE, JR. SUMMER CAMP

Still Here Basketball, Inc., (a non-profit charitable organization), was privileged to work with two of our partners: EmpowerSports and the Medina County Police Activities League, in supporting the participation of more than 70 young basketball players in the 2019 Larry Nance, Jr. Summer Youth Basketball Camp.

Organized by EmpowerSports and held at the Old Trail School, in Bath, Ohio, from July 22-26, the camp featured players ages 7-14 for five days of skill drills, games, other competitions, and interaction with NBA star Larry Nance Jr. All campers received a custom Larry Nance Jr. camp t-shirt, autograph and photo with Larry.

Just a personal comment about Larry Nance, Jr.: unlike many celebrities who attach their names to events but are minimally involved, Larry was on hand in the gym for multiple hours every day of the camp. He shared his knowledge of basketball with kids eager to improve, learned their names and their interests, and even bought lunch for the entire camp on their last day. Many young ballplayers will have lifelong memories and inspiration thanks to the fact that Larry, in addition to being a star athlete, is also a good person. We, with Still Here Basketball, are grateful to him for helping to make this opportunity possible, educational, and enjoyable.
